Today we are in Portland Maine. We took a boat ride to house island. It has a civil war fort built into the ground (right) and 3 houses that were used to process immigrants during the first and second world war. It was a great day. We took a boat ride to the island hiked through fort, and ended the day with a lobster feast!

This is me enjoying a lobster feast. We had lobster, corn on the cob, clam chowde, coleslaw and roll.

The coast is lined with light houses here. Mark took a lighthouse excursion to see 4 of them. GPSs have put light houses out of bussiness.

Thhis a lobster fishing boat. They are checking the traps. They measure the catch and throw back ones that aren't big enough. Bou do they move fast.

My first time in Maine and I did enjoy it.
