Halifax has alaot of tragic history. The titanic sank not far off shore and the dead were brought here. Two ships colided off shore, one was a ammunitions boat, and they exploded and kill 2000 on shore! A flight from NYC to Switzerland crashed here also. These are reminders to the locals that life is not always as idilic as it seems here. They have held onto their traditions. Lobster is their biggest fishing crop and blueberries their biggest agriculture crop.

There is a boat in this picture but it is being covereed by a wave.
Ready to go! Can you beleive our underwear wass soaked when we were done? We also had on yellow slicker pants under the coats!
The area was known for ship building. This is the inside of the market, made like an upside down boat hull.
You cannot tell but these guys are clawing desparately at the air. Lobster is everywhere here!
Yesterday we visited saint john new brunswick. Quaint town. We went to old city market. We toured a wonderful museum. AND we road the rapids. This is where the saint john river meets the bay of fundi. Tide rises and falls 28 1/2 ft! There are incredible whirlpools. It rises or falls 6 ft and hr. To really get to understand what it is like we road a jet boat out into the middle of it! We were well protected and still through slickers, and fleace, and layers we were drenched!
