This is a VERY OLD gothic monastery in bad doberman (name of town). There are over 5 million bricks that were made by hand. It is beautiful. This area of germany was behind the wall. The guide who grew up here talked about how it was. She said if you wanted a car, your name was put on a list, and maybe 12 yrs. later you got the car. There were only 2 types and 1 was made of paper mache. She later said they learned about capitalism very quickly after the wall came down. She was showing us a row of beach hotels where the cheapest room went for 150 euros a night.
